English and Spanish Teacher, Textile Engineer, Writer
Who Am I?
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am a graduated NC State University Textile Engineer with a diverse background that ranges from maintenance work to product development, from research to modeling, and from teaching to sales. This is what I do, but who I am is a forward-thinking and creative problem-solver who sees life as an opportunity.
If I want to see something done, I get it done whether it be personal goals like becoming fluent in Spanish, professional achievements like experimenting with a new material, or world-changing endeavors like diverting food waste.
I’ve always said my favorite reasons for being alive are expression and human connection. There is no person alive who can not teach you something or show you a new way of seeing.
I love language and communication and any opportunity to help people develop their confidence in expression with language. I have worked with toddlers up to adults in a variety of different topics and enjoy discovering new ways to educate!
